Did the wheel break or am I seeing things?

It would be better to have the wheel break than to have it push through the firewall and into the foot well.

Interesting that they still have it a good when the dummy's head slipped off the airbag. I assume it didn't contact anything else? It looks like there's a bit of blue on the hands but that could be the tape on the fingers they started with. It doesn't look like there's any cockpit intrusion though, so that's good.
This reminds me that I need to subscribe to IIHS's YouTube page.

yeah it looks like tape. It looks like the dummy hit hard on the dash. The steering wheel moved to the right way too much. Also, that battery went flying!!
